Favorite Finds - Traveling with Kids

This Momma has done her fair share of traveling, with kids in tow. It has been easy, hard, miserable and hilarious - sometimes all in the same hour! HA! I have seen the good and the bad. I have learned a few things along the way, I have learned that being prepared, with the right travel items, is KEY!

Today, I’ll be sharing some of my favorite items for keeping the kiddos happy and comfortable while traveling…

1. Wireless Headphones!

We all know that devices are one of the first things that get packed for an upcoming trip! Movies & video games are a great way to keep the little and big ones entertained. I love the products by iClever and these wireless headphones offer 22 hours of play time, they are comfortable and adjustable. Both of my girls have a pair.

2. Travel Backpack for Kids!

Hadley and Elle each enjoy packing their own carry on bag. They are responsible for toting around their own ipad, a book, snacks and whatever else they want to keep themselves entertained while on the go. We love this waterproof, lightweight backpack by Zomake! The backpack is roomy, durable and can easily be neatly folded up when not in use.

3. Supportive Neck Pillow!

If anyone has kiddos like mine, they get a small dose of Dramamine before they travel (thanks to motion sickness). It is not long into our travel time, before they are ready for a quick nap. A quality, supportive neck pillow is so important! We love the BCOOZY travel pillow for kids. This pillow has an additional chin support which provides extra comfort. The pillow comes in two sizes, tons of fun colors, is machine washable and is appropriate for kids 3-12 years old.

4. Highlights Activity Books!

Ok, who remembers these fun books from childhood? Well, they are still around & provide my girls with hours of quiet entertainment. Hadley and Elle prefer the hidden picture books that can be found here. I always order a few of these before any big trip. Highlights has a variety of workbook options, to include; puzzles, mazes and matching games. My girls play with them in the car, on the plane or even in restaurants.

5. Travel Art Kit

Hadley and Elle are always doodling and sketching. I love the portability of this art kit by Pipty! The oiled cloth bag comes with a fold out dry erase easel board. The set includes colored pencils, scissors, glue - a ton of items to keep your kiddo occupied. Everything easily folds back up securely to stash away when needed.  This is a great screen-free, creative option for entertainment, while on the go!
